While a variety of opinions circulated for the first 72 hours after the Oscars, the buzz have mainly died down now. This being said, the fact that the buzz only lasted about a week combined – before and after the event – also brings up many questions of how the media views award shows in todays media environment. I encourage you to look into the influence of social media, like Twitter and Facebook, on hoe a variety of different audiances react to what they are reading online and seeing on television.
